Road to Hana

I left Kihei Thursday afternoon and took the Road to Hana. I drove straight to the Seven Pools, hiked, camped, and drove back on Friday, the local away. I was so glad that I did the trip in two days; I was able to stop as often as I wanted on the way back and no one was in front or behind me!! I really enjoyed the hike near the seven pools hiking to the falls and walking through the bamboo forest. I loved doing all the hikes and I took awesome pictures.

When I got back I went to the beach then to Lahaina. That night I went with my Samoan friend to the Fijians house ukelela playing. It was awesome hearing them sing and play, even though I fell asleep.

Maui Scuba Diving

I went scuba diving this morning. I swam with the turtles and feed the fish pineapple. I also have 2 sea urchin shells that I can make a night light with.....hopefully it works out. I'm going on the Road to Hana, camping and coming back tomorrow. It should be a lot of fun with lots of hikes and waterfalls!!

My vacation has been so awesome!!

Early Early Morning

I woke up at 2am to go see the sunrise at 10,000 feet on top of Mt Haleakala Volcanic Crater. I then rode a back down for 18 miles. It was a blast riding through sparse towns. Then I hiked to Twin Falls and did the rope swing. I had a hard time reaching high enough on the rope to swing under the water fall but a guy helped me by holding the rope and I did it!! It was a lot of fun.

I think cruised to the other side of the island and snorkeled at Black Rock and walked around Whaler Village. I love swimming in the warm ocean water!!

Happy Birthday Lori and Grandma!!

New Trail, New Fun

Free time = Mountain Biking time

I've been riding the the MBU (Mountain Bike Unit) for the past year and I love it. I've been able to ride new places and meet new people. Today I rode a challenging trail called the Backbone and it was a blast. I love the green brush and trees in the middle of summer.

I live in the ghetto

I normally like where I live but every once in a while I'm reminded that I live in "The Valley". This is what I saw this morning as I was leaving my house.

I felt really bad for the guy until later in the day; I was driving with my friend Michelle and I pointed it out to her and he flipped us off.....oh well, he deserves it!!
