Rudy's - Texas BBQ

Rudy's BBQ is one Allen's favorite places when he lived in Austin. One opened 20 minutes from his parents house, so we went while Ryan napped at home under Grandma's watch.

Everything is sold like a meat market.....notice no plates just wax paper.

Texas BBQ has sides of white bread, pickles and onions.....btw Texas BBQ is normally smoked and they eat brisket instead of tri tip.

Yeah, it's a gas station/restaurant but oh so good!!

Allen's Family

My last time flying pregnant!! My next trip to Texas will be the first time not being pregnant in Texas. Allen's brother, Matt, lives near San Antonio and they came over for Thanksgiving. We did a family trip to see the property where Allen's parents will be building a new house.

Galveston - The Texas Gulf Coast

We spent the night in Galveston and enjoyed dipping our toes in the warm gulf coast waters but we swam in the hotel pool!! Ryan loved helping daddy with the luggage.

Johnson Space Center

To keep with our tradition of being nerds and learning about Space we went to the Johnson Space Center. Ryan was a trooper and were able to go on both tram tours.

Texas Traveling

For Thanksgiving we went to visit Allen's parents in Houston, TX. We normally stay for a week and do a little family trip for a couple of nights. We visited the San Jacinto Monument and the Battleship Texas and learned a lot about Texas History.  Did you know that Texas was ruled by 6 different countries, known as the Six Flags over Texas? (P.S. Six Flags Magic Mountain is named after the amusement park Six Flags over Texas.)

CA Science Center

Ryan and I met the Sadowsky's at the Science Center to see the Space Shuttle (again). Allen had to work and missed out on some nerdy fun time.

Legoland

My sister gave us tickets and we had a blast with no crowds or wait times. Since I'm 5 months pregnant Ryan and I would hang out together while it took Allen about 10-15 minutes to enjoy each of the rides. It was Allen's favorite birthday gift!!
Allen built Ryan a chair, but it must not be comfortable according to Ryan's face!!
