New Trail, New Fun

Free time = Mountain Biking time

I've been riding the the MBU (Mountain Bike Unit) for the past year and I love it. I've been able to ride new places and meet new people. Today I rode a challenging trail called the Backbone and it was a blast. I love the green brush and trees in the middle of summer.

I live in the ghetto

I normally like where I live but every once in a while I'm reminded that I live in "The Valley". This is what I saw this morning as I was leaving my house.


I felt really bad for the guy until later in the day; I was driving with my friend Michelle and I pointed it out to her and he flipped us off.....oh well, he deserves it!!

Hawaii Anyone??

I'm planning on going to Hawaii in August and I have a companion certificate for 50% off the second airfare.......let me know if you want to come!!

This last Saturday a new park was opened in downtown Los Angeles. It is located next to a brand new school for LAUSD. The park is beautiful and provides a FIFA regulation turf soccer field instead of a dirt lot the kids were using before.LAUSD superintendent Brewer

Chambers Family Reuion

Last weekend most of the Chambers Family got to together for a picnic in the park. It was fun seeing everyone and the children had a blast playing soccer and on the playground.

Money Mattresses??

How many banks are going to fail?? What effect will that have on you?? Would you stand in line to get your money if it is taken over by FDIC?? Would you want your money even if your account balances are below the $100,000??





I'm not a big fan of Suze Orman but she makes some good points.

The IndyMac Bank in Encino was having crowd control problems. Is it best to get your cash before the bank gets taken over or after? What happens if the FDIC runs out of money?? Whose money does the FDIC belong to.....the taxpayers.......a whole lot of new taxes are coming...... Can you survive on cash alone??

60th Birthday

My dad turned 60 years old last week. I picked up my seven year old niece and drove up to Atascadero to surprise him. He was shocked that we were there. My niece did awesome spending the night and driving.

Dodgers V.I.P

Last Friday night I went to the Dodger game with my friend Kristen. We got to go onto the field for the first pitch, amazing seats behind home plate and access to the Dodger Dugout Club after the 7th inning. I even said Hi to Tommy Lasorda as he walked by me. It is nice to have friends with connections!!

The game was awesome!! A homerun in the first inning made the whole job enjoyable.
